Multiply your money to expand God's kingdom
Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV
Fellas, it’s a beautiful Sunday!
Today we are breaking down Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV.
The Scripture:
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.” Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV
The Breakdown:
This scripture reminds us that our wealth comes from the Lord. Our God gives every one of us a gift/skill that we can use to make money for ourselves and our families. Notice I said God gave us that gift/skill. We must never let our pride blind us to that truth. He is the source of our wealth and everything we have is because of Him. It’s not our own doing, but rather His doing through us as we submit our lives to Him. God will continue to bless us as we humble ourselves and ask Him to use us for His kingdom. God plays a huge role in our success and wealth.
The Application:
It’s our responsibility to create as much wealth as possible. We must find ways to multiply our money and ask ourselves how can our money expand the kingdom of God. How can I help with my resources?
We must be good stewards of our money. It’s not about multiplying our money for the sake of increasing our net worth but rather to advance His kingdom. Imagine having the money to donate to churches, ministries, politicians, entertainers, charities, and causes that all expand the kingdom of God on Earth. Being a good steward of your money will allow you to bless those around you.
If you want to expand and help the kingdom of God it’s your responsibility to have control of your finances. This means budgeting every month so you track your income and expenses. This means paying off all your debt. This means investing your money in stocks, real estate, or a business so that it multiplies. This means applying to a hire-paying job that rewards you for the gift/skills you have.
It’s not about the material blessings, it’s about the spiritual blessings that will come out of this. God gives in abundance and as He blesses us we must also give back to build His kingdom.
Money is just a thing. It’s neither good nor bad it just is. You decide how you honor God by the way you create and spend your money.
Let’s glorify Him and seek to build His kingdom on this earth. At the end of the day, everything we have is His and it’s for His will.
Let’s make money and build his Kingdom fellas.
I love y'all!
