Serving my wife has improved our marriage 10x

It’s a beautiful Saturday morning fellas!

Today we are breaking down Ephesians 5:25-27 NIV.

Scripture: Ephesians 5:25-27 NIV

• "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless".

The Breakdown:

• In this passage, our Heavenly Father instructs us to love our wives just as Jesus loved the Church. Jesus gave his life for us. It was a sacrificial love. We have to apply that same principle with our wives. We must selflessly serve our wives and ensure they are taken care of.

• As husbands, we should always put God at the center of our marriage. In doing so, God will give us the wisdom to lead our wives into spiritual growth. God will continue to cleanse you both and transform your marriage through His word.

• An analogy I like to share with other husbands is the following: Think of a triangle. God is at the top of the triangle and you are on the bottom left side and your wife is at the bottom right side of the triangle. If you lead your wife to climb up the triangle towards God (at the top), you two will get closer. Not only closer physically, but emotionally, mentally, and most importantly spiritually. Fellas, God calls us to serve. He calls us to serve our wives. Put Him first and He will give you the wisdom and guidance on how to lead your wife with love. Marriage is so beautiful when you put all your focus on our Heavenly Father. Don’t get distracted it's not about you or her, it's about Him. Once you have that as your sole focus, He will put everything in place. He will bless your marriage beyond your wildest dreams.
